Across the employer job boards we track, 16,196 listings closed in the last seven days while 9,121 opened — roughly 1.8 roles coming down for every one going up. The board still holds 55,642 open listings from 692 employers hiring, but the direction of the week was subtraction, not addition.

A closing is not the same thing as a cancelled job. Roles leave our index when an employer takes them off their own careers page, which usually means filled, expired, or reposted under a new ID. So a week where closings outpace openings can mean employers are working through a backlog as easily as it can mean they are pulling back. What it does say plainly: the pool of things you can apply to on these boards got smaller this week, not bigger.

Remote roles were 6% of the 9,121 new postings. That is low enough to be worth stating flatly — on the boards we crawl, nineteen in twenty new listings last week named a place.

What we are not reporting this week

The brief for this roundup asks which occupations, states, and employers led new postings, and which skills those roles named. Our weekly breakdowns for occupation, state, employer, and skill came back empty in this run, and the week-over-week comparison — which counts only boards we were already tracking, so newly added boards never read as a hiring boom — returned no usable prior-week figure. We would rather leave a gap than fill it with a guess. Where employers are printing pay

What the packet does support is posted pay. These are employer-posted ranges annualized to USD (hourly converted at 2,080 hours), taken from listings that disclose a range — not member-reported earnings, and not every listing in the occupation.

Software Engineer is both the deepest pool with disclosed pay — 1,429 listings — and a median of $240,000. Engineering Manager tops the list at $270,000 across 277 listings, the only occupation here above a quarter million. Product Manager sits just under Software Engineer at $237,523 on 439 listings.

The spread across these ten is wide. Sales Representative posts a median of $80,918, about 30% of the Engineering Manager figure, though sales base ranges are the least comparable numbers on any board — commission structures rarely land inside the posted range. Sales Manager at $175,000 and Account Executive at $196,900 sit far above the individual-contributor sales line.

Registered Nurse is the one clinical role in the top ten by disclosed-pay volume, at $114,400 across 158 listings. The rest is the familiar tech-and-management middle: Systems Engineer at $189,500 (145 listings), Program Manager at $214,000 (141), Marketing Manager at $178,000 (136).

Note the pool sizes on the bottom half of that list. Everything from Sales Manager down rests on fewer than 250 listings with a disclosed range, and the last four sit between 136 and 145. Those medians are real but thin — one large employer publishing a generous band can move them.
