Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Career App (career.thegoodapps.co), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Standards. If you’re using Career App on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organization.

Career App is offered from the United States and directed to U.S. residents. You must be at least 16 years old, provide accurate information, and represent yourself truthfully — one account per person. You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login secure; tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You own everything you post — your profile, milestones, messages, salary contributions, and anything else. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve Career App, honoring the visibility settings you choose. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have legitimately kept (like messages you sent them) and aggregate data that no longer identifies you.

We don’t claim ownership of your career. You can export your data and leave any time.

Follow the Community Standards. Additionally, you agree not to: access the service by scraping or automated means without our written permission; probe, breach, or overload our systems; reverse engineer the service; misrepresent job listings or hiring intent; or use member data for purposes beyond the interaction it was shared for.

Organization pages, job listings, and hiring tools come with extra responsibilities: listings must be genuine and lawful, candidate data may be used only for the hiring process it was shared for, and unresponsive listings may be automatically hidden from new candidates. We may remove listings or restrict hiring features for organizations that break these rules.

Some features use AI to draft or transform content at your request — importing a resume, suggesting wording. AI output can be wrong; review it before you rely on it or publish it. You’re responsible for content you post, however it was drafted.

Career App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, that any job listing is accurate or any candidate is qualified, that you’ll get hired, or that salary aggregates predict what you’ll be offered. Career App is a venue: employment decisions, offers, and contracts are between you and the other party.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The GoodApps Company’s total liability for any claims arising out of these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

You can delete your account any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other members, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive (content licenses as described above, disclaimers, liability limits, disputes) survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Texas. Before filing anything, email us — most problems are fixable faster than litigation.

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. For material changes we’ll give notice on-site or by email at least 14 days before they take effect; continuing to use Career App after that means you accept them. Questions: ben@thegoodapps.co.
