Accessibility Statement

A career network you can't use isn't a career network. We build Career App to work for people who navigate by keyboard, screen reader, zoom, or touch.

Effective July 30, 2026

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across the site, and we treat accessibility findings as bugs, not enhancements.

What we've built in

  • Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and labeled landmarks.
  • Full keyboard operability, including menus that close on Escape.
  • Light and dark themes that follow your system preference, with text contrast designed to meet AA ratios in both.
  • Body text at 16px or larger on phones, and form fields that don’t trigger unwanted zoom on mobile.
  • Touch and click targets sized at a minimum of 24×24 CSS pixels.
  • Pages that reflow at 320px-wide viewports without horizontal scrolling.
  • Alternative text on meaningful images and avatars.
  • Support for reduced-motion preferences — we lean on very little animation.
  • Every profile, job, skill, and hobby page is also available as plain Markdown for assistive tooling and low-bandwidth use.

Known limitations

We audit regularly, but some third-party content — like external links members share, or documents employers attach — may not meet our standard. Charts and maps include text summaries where practical; where one is missing, the underlying data is available on the page or on request.

Tell us when something is broken

If any part of Career App is difficult or impossible for you to use, email ben@thegoodapps.co or use the feedback control on any page. Describe the page and what happened; we prioritize fixes that block core tasks like applying to a job, messaging, or editing your profile, and we’ll respond within five business days.

Turn on analytics and we load Google Analytics: Google gets the pages you open and what you do here — searches, jobs you view, jobs you apply to — and sets its own cookies. Leave it off and the only cookies we set are your login, your theme, and this answer. Accept All also records a yes to advertising, which nothing uses yet. Privacy Policy.
