How these are counted
- A role is open on a day when we had first seen it on or before that day and had not seen it close. History starts 2026-08-13; the daily snapshot the front door uses agrees with this series on every day both exist.
- Week-over-week comparisons count only boards we were tracking at least three weeks before the window, so adding an employer never reads as a hiring surge.
- Pay figures are employer-posted ranges only, never member-reported, and the share of roles that state pay varies by state law.
- Duplicates of one role across several boards are folded; roles outside the United States are excluded.
