Glockenspiel

The glockenspiel is a percussion instrument consisting of tuned metal bars arranged like a piano keyboard, played by striking the bars with mallets to produce bright, bell-like tones. It is used in orchestras, concert bands, and marching bands, and is often one of the first mallet instruments taught to young percussion students. Its portable, keyboard-like layout makes it a common entry point into pitched percussion performance.
