Basset Clarinet

The basset clarinet is a clarinet extended with extra keywork to reach several semitones lower than a standard clarinet, most famously used in the original version of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto and Clarinet Quintet. Modern players and specialist instrument makers have revived it to perform this repertoire on historically accurate instruments.
