Career App Indexes Its 250,000th Job Listing

By Ben Garves

AUSTIN, Texas, October 24, 2026, Career App has passed its 250,000th job listing. The count stands at 250,767 distinct listings indexed since launch, drawn from the employer careers sites the site crawls plus roles employers post on Career App directly. The counter describes the boards Career App tracks, not the whole US job market.

What counts as a job listing here?

A distinct US job listing Career App has indexed since launch. Most are crawled from an employer's own careers site; the rest are posted on Career App directly. A role reposted across several store or office pages counts once, and a role an employer later posted here themselves is not counted twice. Listings stay in the total whether or not they are still open today, so this is a cumulative figure rather than a count of roles open right now.

How fast is the counter growing?

The counter read 248,542 on October 23, one day earlier. That is 2,225 listings added in a day.

What does Career App hold today?

1,499 employer careers sites read, and 1,121 employers with at least one US listing. The occupations index covers 292 occupations with at least five roles open right now, a snapshot that can fall as roles close. Of the listings indexed since launch, 39,453 carried a pay figure the employer published on the listing itself, a salary or a range, never an estimate.

Open inventory is a separate number from the cumulative counters. Career App's job search currently shows 71,638 open roles from 1,065 employers hiring, with 9,959 posted in the last seven days and 3,796 remote. 18,522 of those open roles carry posted pay, with a median of $119,500. Those are pay ranges employers published on their own listings, annualized to USD.

Career App at the 250,000-listing mark

The public US hiring trends page now runs on 39 consecutive daily snapshots of that inventory. A year of daily data would be 365 rows.

What does the founder say?

"A quarter of a million listings means the crawler has been pointed at 1,499 employer careers sites and read them at the source," said Ben Garves, founder of The GoodApps Company. "What I want from that number is simple: when someone searches here, the posting they click came from the employer, not from a copy of a copy. The 39,453 listings that arrived with pay the employer published are the ones I would most like to see grow."
