Longs Drugs is an American drugstore chain founded in 1938 in Oakland, California, that once operated over 500 stores across the West Coast before being acquired by CVS Health in 2008 for $2.54 billion. Today the Longs Drugs name survives as a CVS-owned brand with about 70 stores operating exclusively in Hawaii, retained there due to strong local name recognition.
