How this is measured
- A role “states pay” when its posting carries a figure we could read as an annual US-dollar amount. Roles quoted in another currency count as not stating pay here, because they cannot sit in the same median.
- A role available in several states counts once in each; a role with no place we could read is not counted anywhere on this page.
- These are the boards we track — hundreds of employers, not the whole market — and the employers that disclose skew to the states that require it. Read the share, then the median.
- Employer-posted ranges only, never member-reported pay. Updated daily; see hiring trends for the rest of the numbers.
