Procurement Specialist
A Procurement Specialist sources goods and services for an organization, negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships to secure favorable pricing and reliable supply. Working within supply chain or operations departments, this role uses ERP systems like SAP or Oracle to process purchase orders and track spend, while conducting supply chain analysis to identify cost savings. Duties & responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned product categories or spend areas
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and service levels
- Manage supplier relationships and partnerships throughout the procurement lifecycle
- Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement categories
- Process purchase orders and track supplier performance using ERP systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and finance on procurement needs
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and conduct vendor selection using RFP and sourcing methodologies
