Procurement Manager
A Procurement Manager leads an organization's purchasing function, sourcing goods and services from suppliers while negotiating pricing and terms to control costs and manage supply chain risk. The role relies on supplier negotiation skills, cost analysis to evaluate vendor bids, and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle to manage purchase orders and supplier data. Duties & responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies to optimize costs and manage supplier performance across assigned commodities or spend categories
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements
- Qualify and evaluate vendors through structured assessments, RFPs, and should-cost analysis to build resilient supply bases
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and partnerships to balance cost, quality, and supply chain risk
- Lead cross-functional teams including buyers and category managers to execute sourcing plans and drive continuous improvement
- Oversee purchase orders, contracts, and supplier data using ERP systems and procurement tools
- Conduct spend analysis and financial planning to identify cost-saving opportunities and measure procurement impact
