Vogue
A highly stylized dance form that emerged from Harlem's Black and Latino LGBTQ ballroom scene in the 1980s, characterized by sharp, geometric arm and hand movements, catwalk-style poses, and dramatic floor work inspired by fashion magazine poses. Dancers ('voguers') compete in 'balls,' and the style later gained mainstream visibility through Madonna's song 'Vogue' and the TV series Pose.
