Drametse Ngacham
Drametse Ngacham, or the "Dance of the Drums from Drametse," is a sacred masked dance from Bhutan performed by monks and laymen wearing animal masks and elaborate costumes while playing drums. Originating at Drametse Monastery in eastern Bhutan, it is performed during religious festivals (tshechus) to honor Buddhist deities and has been recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
