Kagura

Kagura is a traditional Japanese Shinto ritual performance combining sacred dance, music, and sometimes theatrical storytelling, performed to entertain and appease the kami (gods) at shrines and festivals. Performers often wear ornate masks and costumes while accompanied by flutes and taiko drums, with regional styles varying widely, such as the dramatic Iwami Kagura of western Japan.
