Shuai Jiao

Shuai jiao is a traditional Chinese folk wrestling style considered one of the oldest forms of combat sport in China, with roots dating back thousands of years to military and folk contests. Competitors, often wearing a jacket similar to a judo gi, grip each other's upper body and attempt to throw their opponent to the ground using trips, sweeps, and throws, with strikes generally not permitted. It remains practiced both as a traditional martial art and as a modern amateur wrestling sport in China.
