Fencing

Fencing is a combat sport in which two competitors duel with a bladed weapon (foil, epee, or sabre), scoring points by making contact with the opponent within defined target areas while a referee and electronic scoring equipment register hits. It has been contested at every modern Olympic Games since 1896 and rewards quick reflexes, tactical thinking, and precise footwork. Practitioners train in clubs or schools, progressing from basic footwork and blade drills to competitive bouts.
