Kumdo

Kumdo ("the way of the sword") is the Korean martial art of sword fencing, closely related to and derived from Japanese kendo, using a bamboo sword (jukdo) and protective armor. Practitioners spar and perform set forms to develop timing, discipline, and technique in striking designated target areas. It is practiced competitively in Korea with organized tournaments and grading systems similar to kendo's.
