Short-Track Speed Skating
Short-track speed skating is an Olympic ice sport in which skaters race in packs of four to six around a small oval rink (111.12 meters), making it faster-paced and more tactical than long-track speed skating. Races feature close contact, frequent overtaking, and occasional collisions, with strategy around positioning often mattering as much as raw speed. It has been a Winter Olympics discipline since 1992 and is especially popular in South Korea, China, and Canada.
