Speed Skiing

Speed skiing is an extreme winter sport in which competitors ski down a specially prepared, very steep, straight course in a tucked aerodynamic position to reach the highest possible speed, which is measured by radar over a timed section. Elite skiers have exceeded 250 km/h (155 mph), making it one of the fastest non-motorized sports on Earth, and it demands specialized skis, streamlined suits, and considerable nerve.
