Singlestick

Singlestick is a historical combat sport and martial art using a single wooden stick, resembling one-handed sword fencing, that was practiced in Britain from the 17th through early 20th centuries as training for sword and sabre combat. It was once an Olympic event (at the 1904 Games) and served as a safer alternative to bladed dueling for building swordsmanship skill.
