Armored Combat

Armored combat, also known as buhurt, is a full-contact combat sport in which participants wear steel plate armor modeled on historical designs and fight one-on-one or in small groups using blunted steel weapons like swords and maces. It grew out of historical medieval combat reenactment into a codified competitive sport with international tournaments such as the Battle of the Nations. Fighters train for both the physical demands of moving in heavy armor and striking technique within safety rules.
