Hulusi

A free-reed wind instrument from southwestern China, traditionally made from a gourd wind chest with three bamboo pipes, one of which is fingered to produce the melody. It is closely associated with the Dai and other ethnic minority groups of Yunnan province and produces a soft, mellow, clarinet-like tone favored in folk and meditative music.
