Tenor

Tenor is a classical male singing voice type, the highest common adult male voice, sitting above baritone and below countertenor in range. Tenors sing many of opera's leading romantic roles, and the term is also applied broadly to instruments pitched in a similar middle-high range, such as tenor saxophone or tenor banjo.
