Grappling Match

A grappling match is a single contest or bout in a grappling-based combat sport, such as wrestling, judo, or Brazilian jiu-jitsu, in which two competitors attempt to control, pin, or submit each other using holds, throws, and joint locks or chokes rather than strikes. Matches are typically decided by points, submission, or pinning the opponent within a set time limit. They are held in organized tournaments as well as informal training and competitive settings.
