Gatka

Gatka is a traditional Sikh martial art from the Punjab region of India, involving stick-fighting techniques that simulate sword combat using wooden sticks (and sometimes blunted swords) along with shields. It combines combat training with performance elements and is often demonstrated at Sikh religious festivals and cultural events, particularly around Vaisakhi. Gatka reflects the martial history of the Sikh Khalsa tradition and is taught both as self-defense and as a competitive sport.
