Box Drum

The box drum, often known by the Peruvian term cajón, is a box-shaped percussion instrument played by slapping its front face with the hands, producing bass, tone, and slap sounds depending on where it's struck. Originating in Peru and widely adopted in flamenco music from Spain, it also doubles as a seat for the player.
