Tremoloa

The Tremoloa was a fretless, multi-stringed lap zither marketed as a novelty parlor instrument in the early 20th-century United States, similar in concept to instruments like the Marxophone or Ukelin. It was designed to be easy for beginners, often played by plucking or bowing the strings while following printed number/letter notation rather than standard sheet music, and was commonly sold door-to-door with lesson booklets.
