Bass

Bass refers to the lowest range of musical pitch, and by extension to instruments, voices, or parts that occupy that register, such as the double bass, bass guitar, or a bass singer's voice. Bass lines and instruments provide the harmonic and rhythmic foundation in most musical genres, from orchestral music to jazz, rock, and electronic dance music, anchoring the groove that other instruments build upon.
