Bass Tuba

The bass tuba is the standard tuba pitched in F or E-flat (or sometimes C), sitting below the contrabass tuba in range and forming the lowest voice in brass sections of orchestras, concert bands, and brass ensembles. It provides the harmonic foundation for large ensembles and, despite its size, is capable of surprising agility in solo and chamber contexts.
