What we do

Torc Robotics is an autonomous vehicle technology company founded in 2005 by Virginia Tech graduate students, originally developing self-driving retrofit technology for defense, mining, and agriculture. Daimler Trucks acquired a majority stake in 2019 (and full ownership by 2021), and Torc now operates as an independent subsidiary focused on developing autonomous driving technology for Freightliner Cascadia trucks.
