Ristynės

Ristynės is the Lithuanian term for wrestling, encompassing both the modern competitive sport and traditional folk wrestling styles practiced in Lithuania. Like other national wrestling traditions in the Baltic and Nordic regions, it historically served as a test of strength and skill at festivals and gatherings. Today it is also used as the general Lithuanian name for Olympic-style freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
