Jujutsu

Jujutsu is a traditional Japanese martial art centered on grappling, throws, joint locks, and pins, designed to let a smaller or unarmed person subdue an armed or larger opponent by redirecting their force. Developed by samurai for close combat when weapons were unavailable, it is the historical precursor to modern judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and is still practiced today for self-defense and sport.
