Para Snowboard

Para snowboard is a Paralympic winter sport in which athletes with physical impairments, primarily lower-limb, race down a course using a snowboard, competing in disciplines like snowboard cross and banked slalom. Competitors are grouped into classification categories (such as upper-limb impairment or lower-limb impairment standing classes) to ensure fair competition. It debuted at the 2014 Sochi Paralympics and draws athletes who enjoy the speed, technical turns, and terrain features shared with able-bodied snowboarding.
