Krumping

Krumping is a highly energetic, freestyle street dance style that emerged in South Central Los Angeles in the early 2000s, characterized by exaggerated, aggressive movements, chest pops, arm swings, and stomps. It grew out of the clown dancing ("clowning") scene as an outlet for self-expression and emotional release, and gained wider visibility through the 2005 documentary "Rize." Dancers often perform in battles or sessions, using intensity and improvisation rather than set choreography.
