Electric Boogie

Electric boogie (or "the Electric Boogie/Boogaloo") refers to a funk-style street dance emphasizing smooth, wave-like body isolations and robotic or liquid movements, closely related to popping. It is also associated with "The Electric Slide," a popular line dance done to Marcia Griffiths' song of a similar name, common at weddings and parties. Both usages trace back to funk-era dance culture of the 1970s-80s.
