Mambo

Mambo is a lively Cuban dance and musical genre that emerged in the 1930s-40s, blending Afro-Cuban rhythms with big-band jazz influences, popularized internationally by musicians like Pérez Prado and Tito Puente. The dance is characterized by syncopated hip and body movements danced to a strong horn-driven beat, often performed as partner dancing in salsa clubs. It later influenced the development of salsa and cha-cha-cha and remains popular in Latin dance communities worldwide.
