Elephants

Elephants are the largest living land mammals, comprising three species (African bush, African forest, and Asian elephants) known for their trunks, tusks, and complex social behavior. They have long been used by humans for labor, transport, ceremony, and entertainment, particularly in South and Southeast Asia, and are central to numerous cultural traditions and recreational activities like elephant riding and elephant-based sports. Elephant conservation and welfare are major concerns given habitat loss and the ethics of captive use.
