Hunting the Clean Boot

A British field sport in which packs of bloodhounds are trained to track a human runner (the "clean boot" scent, meaning no animal trail is laid) across country, with participants following on foot or horseback. It developed as a humane alternative to fox hunting and is organized by bloodhound and clean-boot hunting clubs that hold regular meets.
