Dachshund Racing

Dachshund racing, often nicknamed 'wiener dog racing,' is a novelty event in which dachshunds sprint down a short straight track toward their owners or a treat at the finish line. Popular at county fairs, brewery festivals, and charity fundraisers in the United States and elsewhere, the races draw crowds more for their comic spectacle than serious competition, since the short-legged dogs' runs are often chaotic and unpredictable.
