Falconry

Falconry is the traditional practice of hunting wild game using trained birds of prey, such as falcons, hawks, or eagles, working in partnership with a human handler called a falconer. It dates back thousands of years across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia and is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage practice. Modern practitioners are drawn to the close bond formed with the bird, the skill involved in training and flying raptors, and the connection to a historic field sport.
