Tennessee Postings Jump to 256 New Roles This Week, Up 78% From Last Week
Tennessee picked up 256 new job postings in the last seven days across the employer boards we track, up from 144 the week before. That is a gain of 112 roles, or 78% — three times the pace of the site as a whole.

Site-wide, new postings came in at 9,666 for the week against 7,679 the prior week, a 26% increase. Tennessee's 78% jump makes it the second-fastest riser among the twelve states with openings on our boards right now, behind North Carolina at 91% (200 new roles, up from 105).
Fifth-largest state week, second-fastest growth
By raw volume, Tennessee ranked fifth this week, behind California (946), Texas (598), New York (446) and Florida (387), and just ahead of Ohio (252) and Michigan (240). The gap between Tennessee and the states immediately below it is thin — four roles separate it from Ohio — so the ordering could flip next week without much changing underneath.
The growth rate is the more durable story. Only two of the twelve states we currently show openings in grew faster than 60% week over week, and Tennessee is one of them. At the other end, New Jersey added 11 roles (161 vs 150) and Colorado 29 (181 vs 152).

Who is posting
Employer and occupation tallies in this week's data are site-wide rather than broken out by state, so read the following as the national backdrop Tennessee's week sits inside.
The ten largest posters this week were led by VF Corporation with 654 new roles and 897 open in total, and Ranger Boats with 527 new and 732 open. Health systems and banks followed: Cleveland Clinic (320 new, 885 open), Citigroup (313 new), U.S. Bank (298 new, 1,010 open — the largest open total of any employer on the list), Tyson Foods (238), Lifepoint Hospitals (219), Meijer (203), Stryker Corporation (196) and NVIDIA (192).
Occupations moving fastest
Tagged occupation counts are small next to the 9,666 total — most new listings don't map to one of our named occupations — but the direction is worth noting. Registered Nurse went from 4 new roles to 18, Data Engineer from 2 to 11, Program Manager from 4 to 10, and Operations Manager from 8 to 14.
Moving the other way: Software Engineer slipped to 64 new roles from 71, Product Manager to 19 from 27, and Engineering Manager to 12 from 18. Software Engineer is still the single largest tagged occupation of the week by a wide margin.
On pay, employer-posted ranges annualized to USD put the median Software Engineer listing at $240,000 across 1,301 listings and Financial Analyst at $165,000 across 128. Sales Representative is the lowest median in the top ten at $75,914 over 167 listings. These are what employers printed, not what anyone reported earning.
The caveat on open inventory
A fast week of new postings is not the same as a growing board. Across the site, 9,666 listings opened in the last seven days and 18,097 closed, leaving 57,990 open listings from 686 employers hiring. Remote roles were 4% of new postings. Tennessee's share of that churn isn't broken out, so the 256 figure describes what opened there, not net change.
