By Ben Garves

The posted-pay median for Product Manager roles came in at $192,500 over the last 30 days, down from $220,000 in the 30 days before that. That is a drop of $27,500, or 12.5%. The figures cover the employer career sites Career App crawls, and both samples are small: 37 listings in the recent window, 75 in the prior one.

Product Manager posted median, last 30 days vs prior 30

How much did posted pay for Product Manager move?

Down $27,500. The median fell from $220,000 to $192,500 between the two 30-day windows, a 12.5% move. These are pay ranges employers published on their own listings, annualized to USD, not pay anyone reported earning. Each median is the midpoint of the posted range, measured only over listings that post both ends of one. It is neither the top of the band nor a starting number.

How many listings sit behind those two medians?

37 and 75. With samples that size, a handful of senior postings landing in one window and not the other can shift a median by five figures. The count of Product Manager listings that posted a full range also halved between the windows, from 75 to 37, so the recent median rests on a thinner base than the one it is compared against.

How does the recent window compare with the role's longer-run median?

The Product Manager occupation median is $215,050 across 317 listings that post a full range, which is $22,550 above the last-30-day figure of $192,500 and $4,950 below the prior-30 figure of $220,000. The longer sample, nearly ten times the size of the recent one, sits between the two short windows.

Did Software Engineer pay move the same way?

No. Software Engineer posted medians rose slightly, from $204,800 to $207,500, a gain of $2,700 or 1.3%. Those samples are also small and also shrank sharply, from 197 listings to 57. The two occupations are the only ones with a tracked move between windows, and they moved in opposite directions.

Where does Product Manager sit among posted medians by occupation?

Second-highest of the ten occupations with a posted median, behind Engineering Manager at $240,000. The ranking below uses every listing with a full posted range, not the 30-day windows, which is why Product Manager shows $215,050 here. Sales Representative is the lowest of the ten at $62,000.

Was overall posting volume down in the same window?

Yes. New roles over the last 30 days totaled 37,290, against 42,175 in the 30 days before, down 11.6%. The most recent week added 7,959 new roles versus 8,596 the week before, counting only boards already tracked before the comparison began. Fewer postings in a window means fewer of them carry a full pay range, which is part of why the samples behind both occupations shrank.
