Wheelchair Rugby

Wheelchair rugby is a full-contact team sport, originally called "murderball," played by athletes with impairments affecting both their arms and legs, who use reinforced wheelchairs to carry a volleyball-like ball across the opposing team's goal line while colliding with and blocking opponents. It combines elements of rugby, basketball, and ice hockey and is known for its aggressive chair-to-chair contact. It has been a Paralympic sport since 1996 and is governed internationally by World Wheelchair Rugby.
