Wheelchair Rugby League
Wheelchair rugby league is an adaptation of rugby league football played by wheelchair users, in which players pass, carry, and kick a ball while attempting to score tries, using wheelchairs but with rules that allow mixed teams of disabled and able-bodied players. Unlike wheelchair rugby, it more closely mirrors rugby league's rules of tackling (via touch or a chair-based equivalent) and play-the-ball. It originated in France and has grown rapidly, with a Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup held alongside the mainstream Rugby League World Cup.
