Wheelchair Handball

Wheelchair handball is an adapted version of team handball played by wheelchair users, in which players pass and throw a ball to score goals in an opponent's net, with modified rules on ball-carrying and contact suited to wheelchair movement. It gives athletes with mobility impairments a way to play a fast-paced, throwing-based team sport. It is played mainly in countries with strong handball traditions, such as those in Europe, through adaptive sports federations.
