Wheelchair Sports

Wheelchair sports is a broad category of athletic activities adapted for people who use wheelchairs, including basketball, rugby, tennis, racing, and fencing, among others. Athletes use specially designed sport wheelchairs suited to each discipline, and many of these sports are featured at the Paralympic Games. They give people with mobility impairments a competitive outlet for fitness, teamwork, and elite-level competition.
