Pig Racing

Pig racing is a novelty spectator event, common at agricultural fairs and county fairs, in which trained pigs sprint around a small track chasing a food lure or a decoy such as an Oreo cookie on a stick. It is staged mainly for entertainment and comic effect rather than serious competition, often accompanied by a carnival-barker-style announcer. The pigs used are typically small breeds chosen for speed and trainability.
