Bataille De Reines

Bataille de Reines ("battle of the queens") is a traditional cow-fighting competition native to the Valais region of Switzerland, involving Herens cattle, a breed known for naturally butting heads to establish herd dominance. Farmers pit cows against each other in a series of matches, without injury to the animals, until a "queen" is crowned as the top-ranking cow of the season. The event is a major cultural tradition and tourist draw, culminating in a televised regional final.
