Orienteering Shooting

A hybrid discipline that combines the map-and-compass navigation of orienteering with target shooting stages along the course, similar in concept to biathlon but performed on foot through varied terrain instead of on skis. Competitors incur time penalties or must complete penalty loops for missed shots, rewarding both navigational accuracy and marksmanship under physical exertion.
