International Practical Shooting Confederation

The International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) is the largest global governing body for practical shooting sports, founded in 1976, which sets rules and sanctions competitions combining speed, accuracy, and power in dynamic, scenario-based courses of fire. Competitors shoot handguns, rifles, or shotguns through stages requiring movement, use of cover, and tactical decision-making, judged on both time and marksmanship. IPSC has member regions across dozens of countries and organizes world championships in various firearm divisions.
